What we collect, why we collect it and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
WhoRunsAus has no user accounts or comment system. If you request the newsletter, we collect the email address you submit so we can send that briefing. This is the collection notice for that information. You can unsubscribe from every message.
If advertising is enabled, Google AdSense may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver and measure ads. Cloudflare may retain standard security and access logs. The public Supabase API serves political records and is not used to build user profiles. Advertising defaults to non-personalised requests. It will not be enabled for regions requiring a certified consent platform until that platform is configured.
Providers and overseas processing
Hosting is provided by Cloudflare; historical political data is served by Supabase; advertising, when enabled, is provided by Google. A newsletter processor will be named here before collection is enabled. These providers may process information outside Australia, subject to their own security and privacy controls.
Access, correction and complaints
To request access to or correction of personal information, or to make a privacy complaint, use the private contact channel described on the corrections page. We will investigate and respond. You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes
Effective 1 August 2026. Material changes will be published on this page before they take effect.
