Biography

Christopher Eyles Guy Bowen (born 17 January 1973) is an Australian politician who has served as the minister for climate change and energy in the Albanese government since 2022. A member of the Labor Party, he has been the member of Parliament (MP) for the New South Wales division of McMahon since 2010 and for the division of Prospect from 2004 to 2010. Bowen previously served as a minister in the Rudd and Gillard governments from 2007 to 2013. Born in Sydney, Bowen graduated from the University of Sydney in 1994 with a bachelor's degree in economics.
