Biography

Edham Nurredin Husic (born 3 February 1970) is an Australian politician. A member of the Labor Party, he has been the member of Parliament (MP) for the New South Wales division of Chifley since 2010, and served as the Minister for Industry and Science in the first Albanese ministry. He is the first Muslim to be elected to federal parliament, as well as the first Muslim to be made a minister in the Australian government.
